New Mexico Alpaca Breeders
The New Mexico Alpaca Breeders association, formed in 2002, is a volunteer organization designed to help our members succeed in the alpaca livestock business and dedicated to the promotion of the alpaca industry in New Mexico. We provide promotional and marketing opportunities, educational and networking opportunities and other resource tools and references. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest ethical standards within our industry and to do our utmost to insure the health and welfare of alpacas throughout the state.

Alpaca United is a textile fiber company created and funded by the North American Alpaca farmers and processors to make their fiber more competitive in world markets. The company will manage market building activities designed to increase share of market, product demand and pricing. It is structured as a for-profit entity with a flexible framework allowing for new business plans with low barriers of entry and positive cash-flow. These plans are expected to generate sufficient revenue to bolster investor capital and sustain on-going operations.

Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association
The association was formed for the following purposes. (1) To promote public awareness and membership appreciation of the alpaca's unique qualities; (2) To educate the membership on the care and breeding of the alpaca; (3) To promote the growth of the alpaca industry as a whole; (4) To foster the establishment of the breed outside of its native land by encouraging husbandry and breeding practices based upon, but not limited to, herd health, overall soundness, and wool production; and (5) To establish and maintain an alpaca registry.

Alpaca Blanket Project
The Alpaca Blanket Project (ABP) is a collaboration of American alpaca growers interested in building a lucrative, sustainable, high-end fiber industry in the United States. Since 2003, Peter & Carol Lundberg have been working toward creating this North American resource for the alpaca community to use for their fiber. In working with Pendleton Woolen Mills, an American fiber mill with a renowned worldwide reputation, ABP is paying American alpaca growers for their fiber for the production of 100% alpaca blankets. This gives the American alpaca farmer the ability to produce a cost-effective, American-made product that brings public awareness to the wonders of alpaca fleece.
