Details
Angel is the most beautiful white alpaca with the finest fiber of any alpaca on the ranch. Her fiber is extra fine, crimpy and dense with the most wonderfully soft handle. She has perfect conformtion with a compact body and solid bone structure.
At seven months old Angel had a hearing test and the vet thought she was partially deaf. But despite being a BEW, she does very well within the herd. She has established herself well up in the "pecking order", spitting off others for her share of the food, watching for cues, and comes running when she sees us coming to the field or pens.
She has the same matriarical personality as Pippi, her mother. And if she is anything like her dam, she would make an excellent mother too. She has already taken over as the "baby sitter" for the herd and pays close attention to all the dams as they care for their crias, sometimes getting covered in slime for her efforts.
According to experts, breeding her to a dark, solid colored, hersire would eliminate the possibility of her having a cria with BEW genetics. And she sure is ready, she cushes every time a herdsire comes within 10 feet of the fence!
Angel Eyes was bred to Tuaca in September 2010 and we are expecting a beautiful cria from this pairing.
